Vruwink to form Mayoral Exploratory Committee

Wisconsin Rapids, WI --- Today, local business owner Zach Vruwink filed papers to officially explore a run for mayor of Wisconsin Rapids.

“I am honored by the support and encouragement I have received from my family and the residents of Wisconsin Rapids to consider a run for mayor,” said Vruwink.  “Today, we begin the process of asking citizens what they want of their city government and their next mayor.”

“As someone who was born, attended school, started and grew a business in this city, I am excited about starting this new discussion about the future,” said Vruwink.  “It is time to begin to start talking about how we can move forward in a positive direction, we can not allow ourselves to be slowed by events that have or have not happened in the past. I look forward to talking with voters about my vision for the city of Wisconsin Rapids.”

Vruwink is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin – Stevens Point with degrees in Political Science, Public Administration and Policy Analysis.
